Sermon Illustrations from Dear John (2010)

John Tyree, a former bad boy gone good, is home on furlough from his job in the Special Forces. He meets Savannah Curtis, a pretty, conservative college student. What is sparked between them is more than a summer fling. As Savannah returns to school and John is deployed to the war zone, their letters sustain them. But when when the tragedy of September 11th stuns the nation, John feels pressure to re-enlist, straining his relationship with Savannah, who comes under some pressure of her own. This is another film adaptation of a book by Nicholas Sparks.

Movie's Sermon General's Warning:
Dear John contains some profanity, some war violence, and a scene of sensuality.
