Sermon Illustrations - Sermon Illustrations from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)

Harry is back at Hogwarts, along with Ron, Hermoine, and the rest. But this year the school is hosting the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Even though the rules state that all tournament contestants must be at least 17, Harry finds that his name magically emerges from the Goblet. Now Harry must compete against three other students -- all older and more advanced than he -- in a tournament that promises "eternal glory" to the victor, and the possibility of death to everyone else. As Harry matures the themes that he encounters intensify -- he must struggle with adolescent angst, jealous friends, and rumors of evil Lord Voldemort's return. The results are more open-ended -- and the issues more challenging -- than any of the previous three films.
